3 Solubility It is practically insoluble in water and in ethanol (96%). It dissolves in mineral acids with decomposition.
4 Acidity Not more than 0.35 mL of 0.1 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the indicator to blue.
5 Chlorides Not more than 200 ppm.
6 Nitrates Not more than 0.4%.
7 Copper Not more than 50 ppm.
8 Lead Not more than 20 ppm.
9 Silver Not more than 25 ppm.
10 Soluble bismuth Not more than 40 ppm.
11 Loss on Drying Not more than 1.0%.
12 Assay Not less than 56.0% and not more than 59.4% of Bi (dried substance).

PACKAGING

MOLBIS® SS is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside having bar-coded label and tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserve in well-closed containers.
