3 Solubility It is practically insoluble in water and in ethanol (96%). It dissolves in mineral acids with decomposition and in solutions of alkali hydroxides producing a reddish-brown liquid.
4 Acidity Not more than 0.15 mL of 0.1 M sodium hydroxide is required to change the colour of the indicator to yellow.
5 Chlorides Not more than 200 ppm.
6 Nitrates Not more than 0.2%.
7 Substances not precipitated by ammonia Not more than 1.0%.
8 Loss on drying Not more than 7.0%.
9 Assay Not less than 48.0% and not more than 51.0% of Bi (dried substance).

PACKAGING

MOLBIS® SG is packed in HDPE bag or HDPE drum with double PE liners inside and is provided with a barcoded label and a tamper-evident seal.

SHELF LIFE, STORAGE AND PACKING

The shelf life is 3 years. Preserved in tight, light-resistant containers.
